At just $12.95 US per year to register a domain name, we offer one of the best registation rates available! Domains registered through the Domain Store remain in your name and you have complete control over all your domains. How do I register a domain name?

You can register a domain name of your own through the Domain Store. The Domain Store link can be accessed from your Online Office. Just login and go to the Domains & Email tab. What if I already have a registered domain name?

If you already have registered a domain name through another registrar you can still use it with your Point2 website. A domain name can easily be associated with your website by having the name servers for that domain updated at your registrar. The information needed to point a domain name to our name server is found in the Domain Store under 'Point An Existing Domain Name'. If you do not feel comfortable making these changes on your own, you can contact your domain registration provider for assistance with this. Note: Any changes made to nameservers take about 24-48 hours to update throughout the internet. Your domain name may not be accessible and any domain associated email will no longer work until it is set up again. back to top

What is domain associated email?

Domain associated email refers to any email addresses you have set up using your domain name. For instance, using the domain name goodname.com, you can create an email address such as homes@goodname.com or info@goodname.com. Those email addresses are tied to the domain name and any changes to the domain name servers will affect the email addresses. Point2 offers domain associated email services for all our membership levels. The type and size of email accounts are specific to each membership. How do I pick a good domain name?

This question is asked often and advice is very hard to give. We have some general guidelines to follow.

Rule 1: Keep it simple
Rule 2: Avoid trade marked names (ie. using the word realtor)
Rule 3: Memorable and easy to spell
Rule 4: Choose a good ending (extension)
Rule 5: Brand yourself
